Let's learn how to have an awesome breakfast!
For many of us, the breakfast time is just a quick must-do activity in the morning. Basically, we wake up, eat and rush off to work...
Well, it doesn't have to be like that. If you really know how to make a fantastic breakfast you can improve the quality of your entire life.
Sounds like I'm over-promising?
OK, then let me explain. Two things would be affected by having a better breakfast:
If you know you will have a big awesome breakfast coming up, this will surely empower and motivate you to get out of bed, right?
At least if you're anything like me, waking up dead hungry every morning.
However, those few times where I haven't had any breakfast food at home, I ended up in a vicious circle because I knew I didn't have my breakfast to look forward to. And at the same time, the longer I stayed in bed, the harder it became to actually get up.
So make sure you have a big, tasty and healthy breakfast awaiting you each morning.
By eating what I like to call a power breakfast you can increase your productivity to levels you've never seen before.
"Eat your breakfast like a king, share your lunch with a friend, and give your dinner to your enemy."
The reason is simple. After a long night you usually only have 20% of your energy storage left. And after a small breakfast, you might reach 30-40%. But how can you expect to have an effective and productive first half of your day if you you're running low on batteries?
Basically, you won't be able to get more out than what you put in. So by focusing on a healthy and energy-rich breakfast you will be able to achieve much more.
The key here is to store up on energy before you're going to use it (through breakfast, which is eaten before the day starts) and not eat after you've done all the hard work (through dinner, which is eaten after a long tough day).
Focus on being proactive and eat a real powerful breakfast each day.
So with these two points as support, let's turn our eyes to what an amazing breakfast really is and how you can make it. I'm gonna give you two great examples of power breakfasts:
You start by making one or two portions of normal porridge. You can use the stove, or the microwave if you're feeling lazy ;-)
Then the real fun begins. I suggest that you put as much nutrition as possible in the bowl together with your porridge. Personally, I use things such as:
And to the side you can just have a BIG cup of natural juice. This is surely my personal favorite awesome breakfast!
A smoothie is a great way to get a lot of mixed things into one single, easy-to-drink, healthy breakfast.
I suggest using some berries such as raspberry or blueberry.
Then on the side you can:
Remember, the key is to eat a lot so you can live with energy!
