I have here put together a top 20 list of my favorite procrastination quotes. Why?
Well, we all do it from time and time and the power of quotes can change anything. Just look at some of the ones on this list right here.
So seriously, it's time to take control of your procrastination habits and take action instead. As you can see from the list below, these sayings are from extremely well-known and wise people from all around the world - listen to them.
"Potential is an excuse to procrastinate; Ambition is a means to thrive."
"Once a job it has begun, do not stop until it's done. Whether it is big or small, do it well or not all."
"Procrastinate now, don't put it off."
"If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done."
"Procrastination is the bad habit of putting off until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday."
"How soon “not now” become “never”."
"In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do. The worst thing you can do is nothing."
"If you wait until all the lights are “green” before you leave home, you’ll never get started on your trip to the top."
"Do or do not do. There is no try."
"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."
"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today."
"You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."
"Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone."
"You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today."
"Procrastination is like masturbation. At first it feels good, but in the end you're only screwing yourself."
"Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the “someday I’ll” philosophy."
"Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today."
"Work while it is called today, for you know not how much you may be hindered tomorrow. One today is worth two tomorrows; never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today."
"The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close. In its place we are entering a period of consequences."
"If and When were planted, and Nothing grew."
I must admit that I procrastinate myself from time to time - and it makes me feel damn bad afterwards.
Of course, from a logical perspective, we all understand that it's not good for us, but we still do it. Why?
I think it's because that logic won't help to convince our emotions of what we want to do in a specific moment. But some of these quotes might. Try to write one down on a piece of paper and put it in your wallet.

It might come to good use later... :-)
