"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself"
– George Bernard Shaw
The power inherited in quotes is well-known and I won't dwell into that more. But what we're going to do today is to use quotes to wake up early.
Yeah, you heard me. We're gonna try to take a very practical approach and actually use quotes to build up enough motivation so you can have the strength to turn into an early riser. As George Bernard Shaw mentioned above, life is about creation and taking action so if you want to accomplish more and grow more you have start producing value for yourself.
"I never knew a man come to greatness or eminence who lay abed late in the morning."
– Jonathan Swift
And the absolute best way I've found to become productive and move forward at the speed of light is to rise up early every morning and spend the best hours of the day doing what is most important to me.
If you're like most people, instead you wake up, eat breakfast and then head off to work or school. Then you spend 8-10 hours of your day there while using 120% of your daily energy... and finally you come home all exhausted and having no more energy to spend on your personal projects. Another day passed - another day postponing your dreams.
So my point is - spend the best hours of your day on what is most important to you.
"Begin to be now what you will be hereafter."
– William James
Building a new habit of waking up early can be incredibly life-changing. And there's no reason to wait any longer. Anything you want to be can be started right now.
"Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?"
– Eliza Dushku
"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better."
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I mean, seriously, in the long run it doesn't matter at all if you spend 7 days trying to wake up early. The only outcome can be positive - that you found a great way to enhance your life. And if you realize that it's not for you, then at least you gave it a shot and now you know.
"You may know in every molecule of your mind and body what to do to succeed but until you actually get out there and do the work you're just dreaming."
– Jerry Bruckner
Yes, unless we wake up and start doing what we want, we are literally just dreaming ;-) I bet you can think of a side project of yours that you feel deeply motivated about. How would you feel if you could spend a couple hours each and every day being totally focused on only this? Is that enough motivation to use the precious morning hours for something beneficial instead of entertaining the alarm clock by snoozing a couple of rounds?
"A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided."
– Tony Robbins
So let's say you decide to really become an early riser. Now you have decided to start like this: Go to bed at 10pm. every evening and wake up at 5am. every morning. That should be no problem, right? Especially if you could have the freedom to spend a few fresh and unspoiled hours doing what you like the most!
So I urge you, use your inner motivation and become an early riser. It's not a goal of itself, but a tool for you to reach your most wanted goals and dreams in life.
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."
– Henry David Thoreau
